Children : Suffering Poverty and Cultural Calamity

Who in the earth decides the full day schedule after waking up on 10 or 11 ? No one bothers about the daily life of a boy who washes cars, or a girl who serves bread-ghugni on roadside stalls. Some of the foreign tourists with bulky lenses or students seeking for great marks in their documentary can be seen around them a while. But what after that ? Mothers are busy making up their children’s routine after 10. From breakfasts to late night home theaters, sticking in the bed sheets. No Mothers are irresponsible, are they?   But what about the mothers who doesn’t think about their child’s dance classes as shown on the reality scripted show’s platforms! In the whole scripted world the only thing in India that is true is the gobbling poverty which leads person more to earing bread rather than being passionate.

From 10% of the whole poverty culture gets a rare chance on the reality show platforms or on the hearts of the elites. But do they really care? In a survey it is conducted that 83% audience demanded that most of the reality shows are pretended and fixed through some extends. The channel’s making money and the shows are making TRP , that’s it. One of them got lucky and made the WINNER. Even though rather than poverty they are transforming children into something else. In a present telecasting reality show on a well-known Channel, a poor kid is being framed when the judges talks about his one room kitchen flat on his every single performance , and the camera remains focused on his mother with tears in her eyes. Well, is it worthy for a ten years old struggling boy growing up with this kind of influence? Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar also had openly requested authorities to ban reality Tv shows that has children as participants. He says “ They play with their purity and emotions”.

On the other hand in India we will find many charitable NGO’s or becoming charitable organizations everywhere demanding donations. Mostly on social media ,through West Bengal every up-growing small magazines through middle class community starting their business under the roof of ‘Charity’. Recently when the Amphan Cyclone hit Bengal, Many of the e-book or e-magazine writers started to demolish their work by spreading lines like – ‘ Buy those magazines in only that-this rupees, we will donate our full money to the damaged areas’, Yes I doubt about their intentions too.

After corona a bigger storm is coming with a mood of politics and more raising of humanism will be seen, poverty will be sold through out the urban country men. Rich will be more rich and poor will become poorer. There is a famous line – Richness is not the solution of poverty, it’s the only reason of Indian poverty. We have to stick on those old lines of Nelsen Mandela – “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Primary education about treating poor and poverty correctly , may give a chance to Indian people to get out from such scripted performing culture and regain their dignity .
